Edwin Escamilla, Lead Groomer at Soul Doggy, is a professional all-breed dog groomer and show dog groomer with 24 years of grooming experience. Escamilla enjoys grooming and working with dozens of dogs every week on the job, and loves the variety that comes with working with dogs of every shape and size. He’s even the proud owner of eight dogs at home, ranging from his 130lb Black Russian Terrier down to his 10lb Mexican Hairless, and everything in between.
Escamilla specializes in grooming Terriers. In fact, he is one of only a handful of groomers in the entire state of Arizona who knows how to hand-strip the hard-coated Terrier breeds. Hand stripping is necessary to maintain the proper color and texture required for show competition.
The cost of the grooming services with Edwin range from $35 to $150 depending on the size of the dog, individual needs of the breed, and the wishes of the owner. Some owners choose to bring their dog in every week for a professional bath and brush service, while others opt for seasonal or “as needed” grooming appointments.
Escamilla offers a pampering spa bath for dogs as well, noting that “all the dogs love to get massaged here during bath time, and it’s such a joy to see how relaxed and happy they get!”
