Most students, experienced or beginners, learn to master the foundations. The “Riding Foundations” consist of the following:
1. From the Ground, Up!
Working on the posture by positioning the feet and moving up all the way to the temple.
2. Elevating Awareness
With horseback riding, it’s imperative to pay attention to the horse, the rider, and the environment.
3. Reaction vs. Response
Working with personal and horse’s reactive mind and emotions.
4. Follow Directions
Great leaders are great followers. They know how to listen to directions and keep their focus and enthusiasm to accomplish a task at hand.
5. Become a Great Leader
Link the knowledge and skills together to become a reliable leader for your horse to follow your guidance.
Rose is a 22 year old Arabian mare who teaches our students. She loves her adopted sister Gaby and calls for her when she is away.
